According to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration data, there were 4,808 fatalities in 2007 due to crashes involving large trucks.  The top 10 states, accounting for 2488 of those fatalities or roughly 52%, were (in ascending order):

1.  Texas (493);

2.  California (363);

3.  Florida (302);

4.  Georgia (229);

5.  Pennsylvania (194);

6.  North Carolina (168);

7.  New York (156);

8.  Illinois (154);

9.  Tennessee (149);

10.  Indiana (146).
